Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Asset Intelligence team in Warrington. You will lead commercial management across a portfolio of projects, ensuring governance and best practice in cost control, cash flow, and reporting.

You will support senior leaders, work with cross-functional teams, and manage subcontractor payments, CVRs and forecasts. The role offers a clear path for professional development and flexible working options where possible.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in infrastructure/utilities/engineering/construction.
• Strong commercial/financial management with forecasting, cost control, cash flow and reporting.
• Understanding of contract administration, change and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management for Asset Intelligence projects, ensuring governance and best practice.
• Support Senior/Manging Quantity Surveyors in delivering commercial strategy.
• Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to enable project success.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts, explain variances.
• Maximise cash collection, reduce WIP, ensure timely client applications and spend profiles.
• Oversee subcontractor payments, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Produce CVRs, forecasts, and month-end reporting with clear analysis.
• Support delivery of commercial targets by managing costs, risk, profitability and entitlement.
• Negotiate and administer client/subcontract agreements to allocate risk.
• Manage notices, variations, and other change controls within timescales.
• Prepare/agree quotations for additional costs/time with clients.
