Job summary

Mane in Scotland is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Overhead Lines Commercial Team, supporting the commercial delivery of major infrastructure and utility projects. You will maximise project profitability, manage commercial risk, and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, while ensuring NEC3/NEC4 knowledge and contractual compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified Quantity Surveyor with relevant commercial experience.
• Experience on infrastructure, utilities or major projects.
• Desirable knowledge of Electrical Transmission/Overhead Lines.
• Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 and commercial management.
• Experience in subcontract management, valuations, variations and claims.
• Excellent IT skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial reporting, forecasting, cost/value reconciliation and project profitability.
• Monitor project risks and maintain risk registers.
• Manage subcontractors, valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Support compensation events, delays, variations and contractual claims.
• Prepare commercial reports and documentation, meeting deadlines.
• Attend project and commercial meetings and provide commercial support.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, contractual requirements, and HSEQ policies.
