Job summary

Conrad Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its client’s growing civils and infrastructure team in Scotland. You will manage commercial performance across major utilities and infrastructure projects, from early procurement through to final account, ensuring value for money and robust governance.

You will mentor junior QS, liaise with project managers and subcontractors, prepare payments, variations and cost plans, and report on costs, forecasts and CVRs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience handling multiple projects; NEC contracts advantageous.
• Qualified in Quantity Surveying; professional membership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of infrastructure and utilities projects.
• Manage projects from contract award through final account.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate applications for payment.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Identify, manage and maximise commercial opportunities.
• Review subcontract and supplier agreements; resolve disputes.
