Job summary

Gold Group is recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee a high-volume water infrastructure framework across London, with a hands-on commercial focus and team leadership responsibility.

You will manage a team of Quantity Surveyors, drive subcontractor performance, and deliver accurate monthly reports while maintaining margins and cash flow. A competitive package includes a car allowance and pension.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS with team management responsibility.
• Experience managing and developing a commercial team.
• Strong CVR and forecasting skills.
• Good understanding of construction and infrastructure contracts.
• Experience managing subcontract accounts.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day commercial management of the framework, working with the operational team and Thames Water.
• Manage and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors.
• Oversee the commercial management of a high volume of live works.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
• Review costs, valuations and payment applications.
• Produce accurate monthly CVRs and commercial reports.
• Forecast turnover, margin and cash flow.
• Manage risk, change and commercial opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins and performance.
• Build relationships with Thames Water and stakeholders.
• Ensure Thames Water contract terms are understood and administered.
