Job summary

Gold Group seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on a prestigious water framework in the Manchester area. The role focuses on NEC contract administration, robust financial control, and effective subcontract management within a tier 1 infrastructure environment.

You will forecast, report, and manage risks while mentoring junior team members and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure value and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience with main contractor environments, utilities, water, or civil engineering preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a wider team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of projects within the water framework.
• Administer NEC contracts and manage subcontract packages.
• Prepare valuations, variations, and cost reports.
• Provide accurate forecasting and risk management.
• Support and mentor junior commercial staff.
• Build strong relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders.
