Job summary

Gensler in Birmingham is seeking a Project Architect to lead the delivery of Retail & Lifestyle projects from design through construction. You will manage teams, coordinate with clients, designers, contractors and consultants to achieve design intent and project outcomes.

You will guide technical processes, ensure compliance with UK planning and building regulations, and mentor junior staff while driving high standards of design and client satisfaction across a range of project types and scales.

Qualifications

• Registered architect (RIBA/ARB) with UK practice credentials.
• Strong leadership and client liaison skills required.
• Experience delivering Retail/Lifestyle/Hospitality projects through all design phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects, guiding design through all stages.
• Oversee proposals, contracts and consultant agreements.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors and consultants.
• Maintain project manual and specifications throughout delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and foster design excellence.
• Ensure project timings, fees and deliverables are aligned.
