Job summary
Gensler in Birmingham is seeking a Technologist to join our team, focusing on providing technical solutions and BIM leadership for projects across retail, workplace, data centres and more. You will work across multiple projects and support the design team with detailed technical development.
The ideal candidate has a degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology, expert Revit/BIM skills, and experience delivering industrial and data-centre projects, with willingness to travel.
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture or related field with design, detailing or construction experience.
- Expert knowledge of Revit and BIM software
- Experience in industrial projects; data centre design advantageous
- Ability to work across multiple projects in a BIM environment
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver architecture projects with a focus on retail, cities, workplace and data centre design and delivery
- Provide technical support for completion and execution of projects across all stages
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants and cost consultants; use Navisworks as required
- Lead and support the design team toward cohesive, technically sound solutions
- Prepare construction drawings and details from surveys and photographs, by hand and on computer
- Travel to sites across the UK and Europe as needed
