Job summary

Gensler in Birmingham is seeking an Architectural Technician/Technologist to join the team. You will initiate technical solutions to meet client briefs, support construction documents, and oversee design development across multiple projects.

The role requires Revit/BIM proficiency, experience in industrial architecture projects or data centres, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, consultants and clients across UK and Europe. Willingness to travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or equivalent with design, detailing and construction experience.
• Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit and BIM software.
• Experience in industrial architecture projects; data centre design is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques; capable of managing multiple projects.
• BIM Level 2 standards in Revit.
• Willingness to travel across UK and Europe.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver architecture projects with a focus on retail, workplace and data centre design.
• Provide technical support for completion and execution of projects across all stages.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants and cost consultants using Navisworks as needed.
• Develop detailed construction drawings from measurements, point clouds and photos.
• Collaborate with Design Manager and Designers to develop innovative technical design solutions.
• Lead the design team towards cohesive, technically sound solutions that meet briefs and budget.
