Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group in Slough & Langley College campus seeks an experienced Plumbing & Gas professional to lead and develop our apprenticeship provision within the Apprenticeships Department. The role is full time and permanent with a salary range £47,456 to £50,701.

You will report to the Head of Apprenticeships and drive high standards of delivery, learner achievement and quality assurance across curriculum planning, standardisation, and assessments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Plumbing & Gas apprenticeship provision.
• Appropriate vocational qualification or degree in Plumbing, Domestic Heating & Gas.
• Recognised Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA).
• Proven team leadership or coaching experience.
• Willingness to work towards Level 5 Teaching Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Plumbing & Gas apprenticeship provision within Apprenticeships Department.
• Oversee curriculum planning and standardisation; monitor learner progress to drive retention and achievement.
• Lead quality assurance activities including EQA visits, IQA processes, and liaising with awarding bodies.
• Contribute to Self Assessment Reviews and Quality Improvement Plans.
• Train, coach and assess a caseload of apprentices, conduct progress reviews and timely interventions.
• Build strong relationships with local and national employers to ensure curriculum meets industry needs.
