Job summary

Mimica is hiring a DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a remote‑first team building a scalable AI-driven platform. You will work on Kubernetes-based environments, Terraform‑driven infrastructure, and GitOps pipelines to support fast, reliable delivery.

You will collaborate with engineering across regions, drive FinOps initiatives, and help design multi‑region, single‑tenancy patterns while maintaining strong observability and incident response practices.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes across GKE, EKS, or on‑premise setups.
• Terraform as primary IaC tool; Terragrunt a plus.
• IAM/identity management on major clouds (GCP/AWS).
• Experience with ArgoCD or similar GitOps tool for CD.
• Observability with Honeycomb, Datadog, Grafana, or New Relic; meaningful dashboards/alerts.
• Proficiency in Python to automate platform tasks.
• Background in startups or scale-ups, comfortable with ambiguity.
• Strong communication to translate infra to engineers; collaborative.
• Experience leading/incidents and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams across Mimica with mature, resilient apps on GKE; unblock issues quickly.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and ArgoCD; Python-based platform tooling.
• Manage GKE environments across multiple regions; IAM on GCP/AWS.
• Investigate issues, monitor health, and implement changes to support SDLC for other teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure platform availability.
• Help migrate IaC layer to Crossplane; support multi-region/single-tenancy expansion.
• Drive FinOps to gain visibility and control cloud spend.
• Design access patterns for BYOC and single-tenancy environments.
• Instrument, monitor, and improve observability with Honeycomb, Grafana.
