Mimica is building AI-powered tooling to give teams back time and higher impact work. We are growing a 45-person engineering team and seeking Senior+ Backend Engineers to own core ML systems, improve performance, and drive architectural decisions in a fully remote role based in the UK or closest timezone.

You will work across Data Intelligence, Miner, and Maker teams to deliver scalable backend services, integrate with ML models, and raise the bar on DevEx, testing, and observability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as Software Engineer with Lead/Staff responsibilities.
• Strong Python and backend engineering skills.
• Experience with async/concurrent programming and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Write Python apps in a service-oriented architecture.
• Mentor others to improve code quality and tests.
• Build observability for ML apps and GenAI integrations.
• Develop integrations with Google Services.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers.
• Respond to ML application incidents (CPU/memory/GPU).
• Document procedures and guide knowledge sharing.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members.
