Job summary

Mimica, a fully remote-first AI-powered process intelligence platform, is seeking a senior software engineer to join the Mapper Team. You will own projects end-to-end, build data-visualisation features and real-time frontend services, and help shape the technical direction of the Engineering org.

We value 8+ years of experience, React expertise, backend experience, and a passion for scalable, data-intensive applications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with high engineering standards.
• Strong experience and understanding of React, state management, front-end architecture.
• Knowledge of advanced system design principles, data structures, algorithms, and data-intensive applications.
• Deep understanding of advanced performance optimisation techniques.
• Previous experience working in the backend.
• Committed to upholding high engineering standards, delivering clean, testable, reusable, modular, and well-documented code.
• Experience owning projects from start to finish, including speccing, design, development, testing, deployment, release and observability.
• Drive to develop your skills, improve team processes and reduce debt.
• Fluency in English, with effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing data-visualisation applications and new features around displaying significant large data properties in scalable, reliable ways.
• Building interfaces and real-time frontend services that enable multiple users to edit graph data and retrain AI models.
• Owning projects end-to-end as part of small teams, collaborating with TLs and Product Managers.
• Participating in architectural decisions and producing documentation for implementations.
• Contributing to internal processes and rituals to improve team effectiveness.
• Providing feedback to peers through RFCs and code reviews, helping others level up.
• Participating in hiring and onboarding new team members.
