Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal Engineer (Physical Security) to join the Systems Engineering & Assurance discipline. You will lead development of secure-by-design capabilities, advise clients on security strategy, and oversee physical security delivery across rail and mass transit projects in the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven physical security experience with commercial acumen and leadership.
• Experience applying physical security management and processes across projects.
• UK rail industry experience with turnkey mainline or mass transit projects.
• Hold UK security-related professional membership (CSyP, RSES, or ICAO AvSec PM).
• Knowledge of security engineering concepts and lifecycle delivery.
• Ability to communicate security concepts to clients clearly.
• Understanding impact of security planning, cost modelling and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and direct the Systra secure-by-design processes across projects.
• Advise clients on security strategy and project direction with innovative solutions.
• Design and manage physical security across projects, delivering sustainable solutions.
• Advise on Security overlay to the RIBA plan of work and Rail frameworks.
• Review security deliverables to ensure compliance with established processes.
• Support development of physical security capability across the UK operation.
• Guide peers in implementing security processes and requirements.
• Prepare technical deliverables and assist in expressions of interest and tender responses.
• Ensure health, safety and CDM compliance in projects.
• Manage project-related correspondence.
