Job summary
Kelvin Power, part of the VINCI Energies Group, is hiring a Senior OHL Engineer to take technical ownership of overhead line design projects across the UK. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and clients from feasibility to construction support, delivering practical, cost-effective solutions for 132kV–400kV networks.
You will lead technical design activities, review deliverables, mentor junior engineers and collaborate with internal teams, clients and contractors across the project
Qualifications
- 5+ years' post-graduate experience in overhead line transmission design (132kV–400kV).
- Degree in Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering (BEng/BSc/MSc).
- Chartered Engineer status or actively pursuing CEng via ICE/IStructE/IET.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of 132kV, 275kV and 400kV OHL projects with technical excellence and timelines.
- Manage OHL design activities from feasibility through to detailed design and handover.
- Deliver designs for new-build, refurbishment, reconductoring and connection projects.
- Undertake conductor system design and line modelling using PLS-CADD, including sag and tension calculations.
- Carry out structural analysis and tower strengthening using PLS-Tower.
