Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking an OHL Engineering Manager to lead the overhead line engineering function within our 132–400kV EPC portfolio. You will ensure quality, programme delivery, and technical integrity, line-manage senior engineers, and act as the senior technical interface with clients such as SSE, SPEN, NGED, and National Grid.

The role sits in UIPTD's Power T&D business with a hybrid working model and the opportunity to shape engineering standards and governance across multiple

Qualifications

• 10+ years of OHL engineering experience with 132kV and/or 400kV exposure.
• Led multi-engineer OHL design teams in EPC or design consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of UK OHL design standards and client specs (SSE, SPEN, NGED, National Grid).
• Experience delivering design across multiple concurrent projects.
• Proven ability to manage senior client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Hold overall technical accountability for OHL outputs across schemes.
• Establish and maintain OHL design standards and quality framework.
• Act as Engineering Authority and signatory for complex deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering quality and safety culture.
• Govern EPC lifecycle from feasibility to as-built, with client governance attendance.
