Job summary

Ridge and Partners Llp in the United Kingdom is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our Newcastle office. You will lead a diverse portfolio of building surveying instructions across healthcare, residential, education, industrial and commercial sectors, managing client relationships and contributing to team growth.

You will act as lead designer and contract administrator on refurbishment and maintenance projects, prepare specifications and tender documents, and supervise site works

Qualifications

• MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor status or equivalent.
• Experience delivering a broad range of professional and project-led building surveying services.
• Strong knowledge of building pathology, construction technology and contract administration.
• Experience managing projects and multiple client instructions simultaneously.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships; commercial awareness.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver a variety of building surveying instructions across sectors.
• Act as lead designer and contract administrator on refurbishment and maintenance projects.
• Prepare specifications, tender documents and contract documents.
• Undertake project management and contract administration through all project stages.
• Carry out building, condition and defect surveys.
• Diagnose building defects and provide practical, commercially-focused advice.
• Prepare dilapidations schedules and negotiate settlements for clients.
• Undertake pre-acquisition surveys and technical due diligence.
• Prepare PPM reports and reinstatement cost assessments.
• Provide advice on design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment.
• Supervise works on site and monitor progress, quality and compliance.
• Support and mentor junior team members and APC candidates.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship growth.
