An established industry player is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee maintenance operations at a busy industrial facility. EXCITING OPPORTUNITY WITH SCOPE FOR 4 DAY WEEK (WEEKDAY DAYS). INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION AND PROCESSING PLANT REQUIRES MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
ROLE: Lead Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Team Leader
SALARY: £45,000 plus enhanced overtime, company van, 25 days plus BH & up to 15% bonus
HOURS: 40 per week Mon to Fri (day shift) with flexibility to do 5 days or 4 longer days (note holiday will be pro rata on 4 days, you will still get 5 weeks plus BH)
LOCATION: Newark area (relocation welcome)
ROLE – Lead Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Team Leader
As Lead Maintenance Engineer you will manage the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) whilst undertaking reactive repair works as necessary to ensure operational continuity of the facility.
Strive to optimise plant performance, utilisation and availability.
You will be required to enforce a strong health and safety ethic throughout the maintenance team.
You will supervise and undertake repairs to equipment including repairs to large mobile and static plant equipment.
EXPERIENCE – Lead Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Team Leader
You will have experience leading staff and contractors in an engineering environment.
Successful candidate ideally will have completed a recognised electrical engineering or general engineering apprenticeship or hold an appropriate mechanical engineering level 3 or higher qualification (City and Guilds, NVQ, ONC, HNC, HND or Degree) or in a relevant discipline.
Any electrical engineering / maintenance experience is an advantage.
Health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH beneficial.
