Job summary

Harris Federation invites an exceptional Mathematics practitioner to join us as Lead Maths Teacher, with deployment across our academies, initially Harris Academy Battersea and Harris Academy Peckham. This is a unique opportunity to broaden leadership experience and make a tangible impact on teaching, learning and student outcomes.

You will be an exemplary classroom practitioner with a proven track record, lead with strong mathematics pedagogy, coach colleagues, model best practice and support

Qualifications

• QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• At least three years' teaching experience.
• At least two years in a management role.
• Experience of teaching Mathematics to A-Level.
• Evidence of raising standards of achievement.
• Experience in observing and evaluating teacher quality, and providing feedback.
• Experience in curriculum development.
• Experience in setting targets and managing improvement across key Stage or more widely.
• Experience in a multi-ethnic inner city school.
• Evidence of being an excellent teacher.

• Lead maths teaching across Harris Federation academies.
• Coach and model best practice to colleagues.
• Support delivery of high-quality teaching across academies.
• Be accountable for student progress and achievement.
