Job summary

The Harris Federation is seeking an exceptional Lead Science Teacher to work across our academies with an initial deployment at Harris Academy Battersea and Harris Academy Peckham. You will lead strong science practice, coach peers, and contribute to high-quality teaching across settings.

You will bring QTS or equivalent, a relevant degree, and a proven track record in raising standards, curriculum development, and effective feedback.

Qualifications

• QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• At least three years' teaching experience.
• At least two years in a management role.
• Experience of teaching Science to A-Level.
• Evidence of raising standards of achievement at all levels.
• Experience in curriculum development.
• Experience observing and evaluating teacher quality and providing feedback.
• Experience setting targets and managing improvement across a Key Stage or more.
• Experience in a multi-ethnic inner city school.
• Evidence of being an excellent teacher.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum programme of study for Science.

We are seeking an exceptional Science practitioner to join the Harris Federation Secondary Central Quadrant as a Lead Science Teacher, working across our academies as required, with an initial deployment at Harris Academy Battersea and Harris Academy Peckham.

In this role, you will be accountable for the progress and achievement of the students you teach while also contributing to the professional development of colleagues through coaching, modelling best practice, and supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching across the academies.
