Harris Federation invites an exceptional Mathematics practitioner to join us as Lead Maths Teacher, with deployment across our academies, initially Harris Academy Battersea and Harris Academy Peckham. You will be an exemplary classroom practitioner with a proven track record, lead with strong mathematics pedagogy, coach colleagues, model best practice and support

Qualifications

• QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• At least three years' teaching experience.
• At least two years in a management role.
• Experience of teaching Mathematics to A-Level.
• Evidence of raising standards of achievement.
• Experience in observing and evaluating teacher quality, and providing feedback.
• Experience in curriculum development.
• Experience in setting targets and managing improvement across key Stage or more widely.
• Experience in a multi-ethnic inner city school.
• Evidence of being an excellent teacher.

Job description

We are seeking an exceptional Mathematics practitioner to join the Harris Federation Secondary Central Quadrant as a Lead Maths Teacher, working across our academies as required, with an initial deployment at Harris Academy Battersea and Harris Academy Peckham. This is a unique opportunity for an outstanding teacher to work across multiple settings, broaden their leadership experience, and have a significant impact on teaching, learning and student outcomes. The successful candidate will be an exemplary classroom practitioner with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes for students. They will demonstrate a deep understanding of effective mathematics pedagogy and a commitment to raising standards for all learners. In this role, you will be accountable for the progress and achievement of the students you teach while also contributing to the professional development of colleagues through coaching, modelling best practice, and supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching across the academies.
