Job summary

The Harris Federation is seeking an exceptional Lead Maths Teacher to work across our Secondary Central Quadrant, with initial deployment at Harris Academy Battersea and Harris Academy Peckham. You will lead mathematics teaching across multiple academies, raise standards, and coach colleagues to improve student outcomes.

This is a senior teaching role requiring QTS, a maths degree, and a track record of securing excellent outcomes in a multi-ethnic inner-city setting.

Qualifications

• QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• At least three years' teaching experience.
• At least two years in a management role.
• Experience of teaching Mathematics to A-Level.
• Evidence of raising standards of achievement.
• Curriculum development experience.
• Experience in observing and evaluating teacher quality with feedback.
• Experience setting targets and managing improvement across Key Stages or wider.

We are seeking an exceptional Mathematics practitioner to join the Harris Federation Secondary Central Quadrant as a Lead Maths Teacher, working across our academies as required, with an initial deployment at Harris Academy Battersea and Harris Academy Peckham.

The successful candidate will be an exemplary classroom practitioner with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes for students. They will demonstrate a deep understanding of effective mathematics pedagogy and a commitment to raising standards for all learners.

In this role, you will be accountable for the progress and achievement of the students you teach while also contributing to the professional development of colleagues through coaching, modelling best practice, and supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching across the academies.

We would like to hear if you have:

• QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
• At least three years' teaching experience
• At least two years in a management role.

• Successful experience of curriculum development
• Experience in observing and evaluating teacher quality, and providing feedback

• Evidence of being an excellent teacher
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum programme of study for the subject and of current subject developments
