The Role

• Design new systems, equipment, and processes for the introduction of new products or the improvement of existing ones.
• Work closely with multiple departments and help deliver CI projects on time and within budget.
• Analyze and report on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management.
• Support the transition of new tools to production by designing and implementing jigs, tooling, frameworks, etc.
• Liaise with toolmakers regarding new tools and improvements to tooling.
• Review and calculate the costs of different tools and equipment in the production process and predict overheads for future production requirements.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for quality improvements.

The Person

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing engineering or projects
• Experience using SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Experience with NPI
