Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Armagh

Salary up to £60,000

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a global, industry-leading manufacturing company. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead process improvement projects across the site.

The Role
  • Design new systems, equipment, and processes for new product introduction or existing product improvement
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to deliver continuous improvement projects on time and within budget
  • Analyze and report on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management
  • Support the transition of new tools to production by designing and implementing jigs, tooling, and frameworks
  • Liaise with toolmakers regarding new tools and improvements to tooling
  • Assess and forecast costs related to tools and equipment, predicting overheads for future production
  • Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
  • Evaluate quality control processes and recommend quality improvements
The Person
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or project roles
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI)
