Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer (Flight Simulators) based in Burgess Hill. You will head a small technical team, acting as the expert for hydraulics and pneumatics within an aerospace environment.

Responsibilities include planned, preventive and reactive maintenance on simulators, diagnosing faults, and supporting test schedules. You will mentor junior technicians and help ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Lead Maintenance Engineer or equivalent experience.
• Aviation or related field background required.
• Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics or automated systems.
• Ability to train and develop junior technicians.

Lead Maintenance Engineer (Flight Simulators)

Are you a Lead Maintenance Engineer or similar, with prior experience working on hydraulics and pneumatics, from an aviation background or a related field, looking to head up a small team as the technical expert, within a leading aerospace business?

In this role, you will be responsible for planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on simulators and systems, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing system faults. You will also run and check qualification test guide schedules alongside working with risk assessments, method statements, COSHH and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Finally, you will assist in training junior technicians.
