Job summary

Burgess Hill Aviation Ltd is seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer to head up a small team and act as the technical expert for flight simulators and related systems. The role includes maintenance, fault diagnosis, and support to junior technicians in a real-world aerospace environment.

The successful candidate will have an aviation background, experience with simulators or automated systems, and the ability to lead maintenance activities with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

Are you a Lead Maintenance Engineer or similar, from an aviation background, looking to head up a small team as the technical expert, within a leading aerospace business?

In this role, you will be responsible for planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on simulators and systems, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing system faults. You will also run and check qualification test guide schedules alongside working with risk assessments, method statements, COSHH and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Finally, you will assist in training junior technicians.

The Role:
