Job summary

Lead Maintenance Engineer role based in Burgess Hill within a fast-growing aerospace business specialising in flight simulators. This is a hands-on lead position overseeing a small team and ensuring high reliability of complex systems.

You will perform planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on simulators, diagnose faults, and train junior technicians, with a salary of £50,000–£60,000 plus a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, ongoing training and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Lead Maintenance Engineer or similar with hydraulics/pneumatics experience.
• Aviation background or related field preferred.
• Experience leading a small technical team.

Are you a Lead Maintenance Engineer or similar, with prior experience working on hydraulics and pneumatics, from an aviation background or a related field, looking to head up a small team as the technical expert, within a leading aerospace business?

In this role, you will be responsible for planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on simulators and systems, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing system faults. You will also run and check qualification test guide schedules alongside working with risk assessments, method statements, COSHH and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Finally, you will assist in training junior technicians.
