Job summary

Matchtech in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Manager with strong M&E experience to deliver water infrastructure projects for Wessex Water and South West Water. This permanent role will involve managing project delivery from planning and mobilisation through to completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as an M&E Project Manager within the water, utilities, engineering or construction sector.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems used in water and wastewater projects.
• Proven ability to manage project programmes, budgets, risks and resources.
• Knowledge of construction health and safety requirements and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with a structured and proactive approach to delivery.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Managing mechanical and electrical water projects from inception through to successful completion
• Co-ordinating project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives
• Developing and maintaining project programmes, budgets and delivery plans
• Monitoring project progress, quality, health and safety, and environmental compliance
• Managing risks, variations, resources and project-related documentation
• Building effective working relationships with stakeholders across Wessex Water and South West Water projects
• Providing regular progress updates and ensuring projects meet contractual and operational requirements
