Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support delivery of permanent water infrastructure projects. The role covers design, procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover within the water and utilities sector.

You will deliver mechanical engineering activities across water and wastewater projects, review designs, coordinate installations, and work with project managers, subcontractors and site teams to ensure compliance and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical project engineering within water/utilities sector.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of project delivery processes, health and safety requirements and quality standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across office, site and project environments.
• Relevant mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivering mechanical engineering activities across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Reviewing designs, specifications and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Co-ordinating mechanical installations, commissioning activities and project handovers.
• Working closely with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Monitoring progress, quality and technical performance throughout project delivery.
• Supporting the preparation of project programmes, risk assessments and technical reports.
• Ensuring all works comply with relevant health and safety, environmental and industry standards.
• Providing technical solutions to engineering challenges and supporting continuous improvement.
