Hippo is a fast-growing digital consultancy focused on transformative digital solutions for public and private sectors. We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Kotlin Developer to guide multi-disciplinary teams, architect scalable Kotlin-based services, and mentor engineers while delivering client-focused outcomes.

You will lead Kotlin development across microservices, cloud deployments, and front-end integration, driving best practices and technical excellence within Hippo’s engineering community.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Kotlin and full development lifecycle.
• Leadership of delivery teams to build robust, scalable systems.
• Expertise in back-end with Kotlin + Spring Boot and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical SME within the squad to ensure user-centred software delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver solutions for complex client problems.
• Prioritise delivery workload and manage development pipelines.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding of engineers; mentor colleagues.
• Present prototypes, solutions and progress to stakeholders clearly.
