Job summary

Hippo, a rapidly growing digital consultancy, is seeking a Lead Full Stack Kotlin Developer to join our Hippo Herd. You will lead a delivery squad, architect back-end services with Kotlin/Spring Boot, and mentor engineers while collaborating with designers, data scientists, and product teams to ship scalable digital solutions.

You will drive technical strategy, oversee pipelines, and guide junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Kotlin and full software development lifecycle.
• Proven track record leading a delivery team to high-quality outcomes.
• Expertise in Kotlin with Spring Boot and Spring Framework; REST APIs and coroutines.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical SME within the squad to deliver user-centred software.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver complex client solutions.
• Prioritise workload and manage delivery team performance.
• Design and manage deployment pipelines; resolve bottlenecks.
• Present prototypes and progress to stakeholders clearly.
• Lead recruitment and mentoring of engineers.
