Job summary

Linxon is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead HV substation design and project execution across Middleton, London and Chelmsford. You will coordinate multi-discipline teams, oversee budgets, schedules and interfaces with the Project Director to deliver turnkey HV GIS/AIS substations.

The role requires extensive HV substation experience for utilities, strong communication with internal and external stakeholders, and a proactive approach to risk and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in HV substation for utilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design across disciplines and manage budgets.
• Lead design reviews and hazard reviews with stakeholders.
• Maintain on-site presence during construction (60%).
• Support subcontracting, cost control and commercial interfaces.
