Job summary

Linxon is seeking a Principal Engineer for HV substation turnkey projects. You will be embedded in the project team, coordinating design across disciplines and liaising with the Linxon executionteam to ensure on‑time delivery and compliant design reviews.

Strong experience in HV substations for utilities and excellent communication across multicultural teams are essential. The role requires on-site presence during construction and collaborative client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive HV substation experience for utilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the design team across all disciplines.
• Liaise with the Project Director on budgets and provide forecast cost to complete estimates.
• Manage the programme and interface with the planning engineers for design.
• Coordinate with the Principal Design Engineer for design submission, design reviews and hazard reviews.
• Forecast completion and resource planning with the Lead Engineer.
• Support the Project Director in risk and opportunity assessments.
• Contribute to creation of subcontracts and manage subcontractors.
• Support Commercial Manager in contractual and commercial aspects.
• Work with customers to shape and deliver solutions and drive improvements.
