Job summary

Linxon in Glasgow seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team for EPC HV substation projects in Scotland. You will oversee tendering, project engineering, resource coordination, and interfaces across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include providing technical leadership, ensuring designs meet customer specs and standards, and guiding engineers while managing budgets and timelines. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• An engineering degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience leading engineering resources in large EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of AIS/GIS substation design and delivery processes.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the local engineering team for HV AIS and GIS substations.
• Plan, coordinate, and ensure compliant engineering from tender to As-Built.
• Provide technical leadership and resolve design/interface issues with customers and suppliers.
• Manage engineering resources, budgets, and project milestones.
• Collaborate with PM, Procurement, Construction, and Planning for priorities.
• Mentor engineers and develop technical skills within the discipline groups.
• Travel up to 25% domestically/internationally as required.
