Job summary

The Education Specialists are seeking an experienced HLTA to join a specialist education setting in Greater Manchester on a permanent basis. The role involves leading learning activities and providing targeted 1:1 and small-group SEN support to pupils with complex needs.

Experience with SEMH, Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour is highly desirable; a calm, patient, and resilient approach with strong behaviour-management skills is essential for success.

Qualifications

• HLTA/SEN TA experience in a specialist education setting.
• Experience with SEMH and challenging behaviour desirable.
• Ability to lead learning activities and provide 1:1 or small-group SEN support.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the setting
• Lead planned lessons and learning activities when required
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group SEN support
• Support pupils with SEMH, behavioural and emotional needs
• Work closely with teachers to deliver differentiated learning
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement
