Astro Education Ltd are supporting a specialist SEN school in South Manchester to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) on a full-time, permanent basis.

The role involves working with pupils with SEN and SEMH, small class sizes, and delivering learning activities and interventions under the guidance of teaching staff.

• Experience in SEN/SEMH settings.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across small SEN/SEMH classes.
• Deliver learning activities and interventions as directed by teaching staff.
• Provide individual and small-group support to pupils.
• Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and senior leaders.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
