St Mary’s RC Primary School Middleton is seeking an enthusiastic HLTA to join our Catholic school. The role covers all phases, supervising classes, supporting teachers and leading our large teaching assistant team.

Ideal candidates will hold an HLTA qualification, have GCSE English and Maths, and understand safeguarding. The post is permanent with working hours 8am to 4pm and a salary of £28,359 to £31,324.

Qualifications

• Must have GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent).
• Must have HLTA qualification.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum, reading, phonics and group interventions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes for absent teachers across the school.
• Support teachers in the classroom and lead our team of teaching assistants.
• Work across all phases to support pupils and interventions.
