Job summary

Osmani Primary School is seeking a HLTA to establish calm, positive behaviour and support learning across Nursery to Year 6. You will deliver lessons planned by the class teacher to whole classes, groups and individuals, including PPA cover and short-term absence cover, and help mark work.

Candidates should have HLTA status or be working towards it with a Level 3 qualification, be ICT proficient (Word and Publisher), and be resilient, adaptable and able to work well in a team, including

• Strong knowledge across the primary curriculum
• Lead whole classes independently
• Direct the work of Learning Support Assistants
• ICT proficient in Word and Publisher

• Experience with pupils with Special Educational Needs

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain calm, positive behaviour to support learning
• Deliver lessons planned by the class teacher to whole classes, groups and individuals
• Deliver interventions and mark work from lessons covered
• Ensure pupil safety and welfare and support inclusion
• Carry out any duties as directed by the Headteacher
