Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Lead Histopathologist for Cervical Screening Histology at the Conquest site in Hastings. The post would suit either a first-time consultant or an established consultant wishing to relocate, with an interest in reporting gynaecological histology and leadership of the department.

Qualifications

• Senior histopathologist with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in cervical screening histology reporting.
• Involvement in teaching and departmental governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class histopathology service within Cellular Pathology.
• Lead and supervise staff in the specialty.
• Develop teaching at ESHT.
• Work within Trust policies and procedures.
• Ensure Cervical Screening Histology aligns with national guidance.
• Support remote reporting initiatives where applicable.
