Job summary

Remedium Partners Limited in Wales seeks a Consultant Histopathologist to join a regional Cellular Pathology department. You will provide diagnostic Histopathology and Cytopathology services and contribute to MDT meetings, teaching and research, with opportunities in digital pathology and flexible working.

The role offers a stable NHS-facing environment, consultant-on-call duties, and a path to develop specialist interests while leading service development and clinical governance.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with licence to practise.
• GMC Specialist Registration or eligible within six months of interview.
• Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent.
• FRCPath or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide Consultant-led Histopathology and Cytopathology services.
• Deliver accurate diagnostic surgical pathology reporting.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
• Provide clinical advice to multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Contribute to service development, clinical governance and quality improvement.
• Participate in departmental audit and risk management activities.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff.
• Participate in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching.
• Support research and Continuous Professional Development.
• Participate in the 1:12 consultant on-call rota.
• Optional participation in the Coroner's autopsy service.
