Job summary

Amey is seeking a Highways Supervisor to lead frontline operational teams delivering routine, cyclic and reactive highway maintenance across the network from Bramham Maintenance Compound, Leeds. You will ensure safe, efficient delivery in line with contractual requirements and stand ready for standby and emergency response activities.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience, a solid health and safety background and strong planning abilities, with a Full UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory/ frontline management experience.
• Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Ability to coordinate operational activities, resources and programmes.
• Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced operational environments.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervising operational teams undertaking highway maintenance activities across the network.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures, legislation and contractual requirements.
• Monitoring quality, productivity and operational performance across work activities.
• Carrying out site inspections, safety observations and audits.
• Coordinating resources, plant, materials and labour to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Supporting winter maintenance and emergency response operations.
• Completing records, reports and operational documentation accurately and within required timescales.
• Building and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and customers.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement across operations.
• Promoting Amey's health, safety and environmental standards at all times.
