Job summary

VolkerHighways, part of VolkerWessels UK, is recruiting a Supervisor for our Highways Term Maintenance contract based at the Wokingham depot. You will lead in‑house and subcontract teams to ensure projects meet operational, financial and contract requirements, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and on‑time delivery.

Key requirements include construction management knowledge, familiarity with NEC contracts, CSCS, SSSTS, NRSWA Supervisor and First Aid.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of construction management.
• Familiar with NEC forms of contract.
• CSCS certification holder.
• SSSTS qualification or equivalent.
• NRSWA Supervisor trained or qualified.
• First Aid knowledge or certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day delivery of high­way maintenance works.
• Lead and support operational teams with coaching and performance management.
• Ensure works are completed safely, to specification and within budget.
• Implement safe systems of work and conduct site inspections.
• Plan workloads, allocate resources and coordinate labour and materials.
• Monitor quality, productivity and programme performance.
• Maintain site records, diaries and contract documentation.
• Manage stock, depot operations and vehicle/equipment use.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
