Job summary

Amey, based in Bolton on the Area 12 contract, is seeking a Planner to support highways maintenance and improvement works. You will develop and maintain programmes, coordinate activities, and provide planning expertise to help deliver works safely, efficiently and on time.

You will work with Contract Managers, Project Managers and teams to ensure accurate planning data, progress reporting and resource planning across labour and materials. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a planning role within highways, infrastructure, civil engineering or construction environments.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update project and contract programmes.
• Monitor progress against milestones and identify risks and opportunities.
• Support planning for highways maintenance activities with operational teams.
• Produce short- and long-term delivery programmes.
• Analyse programme performance and provide improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with operational, commercial and client teams to keep planning information current.
• Produce progress reports and planning information for stakeholders.
• Support resource planning across labour, plant and materials.
