Job summary

Sirius Recruitment Services Ltd in Rugby is partnering with a growing engineering firm to recruit an experienced Lead Hand CNC Milling Programmer. The role covers programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines, with a focus on precision components for aerospace, automotive, and oil & gas sectors.

The successful candidate will bring 10+ years in engineering, strong Fanuc programming skills, and a proven ability to lead a small team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' engineering experience.
• Experience in online programming and Fanuc milling.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Lead hand duties: liaising with shop floor manager, task allocation, material coordination, process optimization, troubleshooting.
• Using both online and offline programming methods.
• Working on a DMU 80 machining centre.
• Interpreting technical drawings and working independently.
• Using Fanuc to ensure precision and quality.

What you'll be doing:

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines
• Lead hand duties to include; Liaising with Shop Floor manager, Task allocation, Material Coordination, Process optimization, trouble shooting.
• Using both online and offline programming methods
• Working on a DMU 80 machining centre
• Interpreting technical drawings and working independently
• Using Fanuc to ensure precision and quality

What we're looking for:

• A technically skilled CNC professional with strong experience in milling
• Minimum 10 years' Engineering experience
• Online programming - Follow and change programs
• Confident with Fanuc programming and modern machining techniques
• Self-motivated, organised, and detail-focused
• Excellent communication and team skills
