Job summary

Leicestershire-based precision engineering firm seeks a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join the Milling Dept. You will program, set up, and run 3-4 axis milling machines and inspect parts to exacting tolerances.

Candidates should read engineering drawings, understand Haidenhain controls, and be capable of online programming. Flexibility for shifts and safe operation around overhead cranes is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and programming 3-4 axis milling machines.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Capable of inspecting finished parts to required tolerances.
• Familiar with Haidenhain controls and online programming.
• Aware of overhead crane safety when handling parts.

Responsibilities

Competitive Salary up to £22ph + Benefits, Straight Day Shifts - 39 hours/week

Monday-Wednesday 07:00 - 17:00 Thursday 07:00 - 16:00

We are currently working with an established precision engineering company, based in Leicestershire. Due to an increase in workload, they are now looking to recruit for a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join their existing team in the Milling Dept.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Programmer/Setter/Operator will:

• Have a good understanding of 3 & 4 axis machinery
• Be aware of the safe use of overhead cranes..
• Have experience of machining a variety of materials, including Cast Iron, Aluminium & Stainless Steel.
• Be flexible to cover other shifts, and reliable, and be a good team player..
• Have experience of working to high tolerances
• Be able to read and understand engineering drawings
• Be able to carry out their own inspection.
• Have previous experience of programming online using Haidenhain control systems.

In return, you can expect to receive a competitive salary, depending on your level of experience with the above; together with working straight day shifts, 39 hours over a 4 day week, Fridays are paid at overtime rate, should the business require it.
