Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Ground Investigation Engineer to join our UK Site Evaluation and Restoration team. You will lead on large-scale site investigations, manage field programs, and coordinate multi-contractor teams across infrastructure-focused projects.

You will work from flexible UK locations (Warrington, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff or Glasgow) and contribute to client deliverables while maintaining high SHEQ standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• BSc / BEng in Geology, Geoscience, Geography or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years field experience on ground investigations.
• Experience leading engineers and supervising multiple contractors.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contract management and early warnings/CEs.
• SMSTS preferred; strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Site management including supply chain coordination and procurement.
• Field investigations across the UK with focus on SHEQ and documentation.
• Leadership and coordination of site teams and programme management.
• QA/QC of soil/rock logging to British Standards and field testing output.
• Produce project outputs and maintain client/Arcadis relationships.
