Think Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lead Gas Engineer to cover mobile locations around Worcester, Evesham, Droitwich, and Cheltenham. The role focuses on diagnosing complex heating faults, providing technical guidance, and mentoring peers to improve first-time fix rates.

You’ll work with ACS gas qualifications, hold a full UK driving licence, and be able to operate in occupied domestic properties. DBS clearance and flexibility for out-of-hours work are required.

Qualificações

• ACS gas qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, MET1, CPA1.
• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, Heating or Ventilation or equivalent.
• Unvented hot water qualification.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing complex domestic heating faults.
• Basic electrical understanding of heating systems.
• LPG and Oil qualifications, or willingness to obtain during probation.
• Experience working in occupied domestic properties.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Ideally located within an hour travel of the area.
• Social housing experience advantageous.

Lead Gas Engineer - Repairs & Maintenance

Location: Mobile - Worcester, Evesham, Droitwich, Cheltenham & surrounding

Salary: £46,000 per annum + overtime and out-of-hours payments

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Think Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Lead Gas Engineer to join an established property maintenance provider, supporting domestic gas servicing and repairs across occupied properties.

This is a hands-on role combining complex fault finding and heating repairs with technical support and mentoring for other engineers. Working alongside the Heating Service Delivery Manager, you'll help resolve challenging jobs and ensure services are delivered safely and to a high standard.

Requirements

• Relevant ACS gas qualifications, including applicable certificates such as CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, MET1 and CPA1.
• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, Heating or Ventilation, or equivalent.
• Unvented hot water qualification.
• Strong experience diagnosing and repairing complex domestic heating faults.
• Basic electrical understanding of heating systems.
• LPG and Oil qualifications, or willingness to obtain these during probation.
• Experience working in occupied domestic properties.
• Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Based within reasonable travelling distance of the area, ideally within an hour.
• Social housing experience and knowledge of relevant legislation would be advantageous.
