Job summary

Nuco Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Gas Service & Repair Engineer to join an established heating and maintenance team. The role covers Wirral and surrounding CH areas, delivering safe, efficient domestic heating and hot water servicing with a focus on high-quality customer service.

Permanent PAYE position with competitive salary, training and progression opportunities. On-call rota required, with on-call duties approximately 1 in 4 weeks.

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic gas servicing and maintenance.
• ACS qualifications CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 and CKR1.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out gas servicing and planned maintenance across domestic properties.
• Diagnose faults and complete boiler breakdowns and repairs.
• Identify and resolve heating and hot water issues efficiently.
• Ensure work complies with Gas Safe regulations and industry standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and clients.
• Complete paperwork, service records and compliance documentation.
• Update job progress using electronic systems.
• Participate in on-call rota (currently 1 in 4 weeks).

Gas Service & Repair Engineer - Wirral

Salary: £35,875 -£42,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Oldham (Covering all CH postcode areas)

Contract: Permanent, PAYE

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with on‑call requirements)

On-Call: 1 in 4 weeks

Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays (increases with service)

The Role

Requirements

• Previous experience in domestic gas servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Valid ACS qualifications, including CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 and CKR1.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to diagnose faults and work independently.
• A professional, reliable and customer‑focused approach.
