Job summary

TPXimpact is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive design, development, and deployment of high-quality software. You will lead a team of engineers, set technical direction, and collaborate with product, UX/UI, DevOps, QA and IT to deliver high-profile projects.

You will champion best practices, system architecture, and development processes while driving continuous improvement and line management responsibilities where needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in full-stack software engineering, including design, development, testing and deployment.
• Deep experience in at least one language/framework (Java/Kotlin, Python, C#/.NET, or full-stack JS).
• Strong understanding of Agile, TDD, and DevOps practices.
• Extensive experience writing well-tested code.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex software systems with a focus on quality, security, and scalability.
• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance for growth.
• Ensure coding standards, development best practices, and operational processes are followed.
• Collaborate with product, UX/UI, DevOps, QA and IT to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimise performance, reliability and security.
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the SDLC.
• Stay up-to-date with trends in software engineering and adopt beneficial tools/methodologies.
• Manage project timelines and contribute to hiring processes when required.
