Job summary

Notion is hiring a Manager of Forward Deployed Engineering to lead a team delivering complex enterprise engagements across EMEA. You will guide discovery, design, and delivery, and partner with Sales, Product, CX, and Engineering to turn deployments into platform improvements.

You will coach engineers, shape delivery standards, and own engagement outcomes from initial discovery through to handover, balancing customer needs with team capacity and technical risk.

Qualifications

8+ years in forward deployed engineering or related hands-on roles.
2+ years in people management or team leadership.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java/JS/Node.js/SQL/Python).
Hands-on experience with APIs, integrations, data transformation, and production systems.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Forward Deployed Engineers delivering complex enterprise engagements across EMEA.
Create a high-performance team environment with clear expectations and strong technical standards.
Own the quality and outcomes of engagements from discovery to launch and handover.
Act as a trusted technical and delivery advisor to customer stakeholders, guiding decisions.
