Job summary

Notion is seeking a Manager of Forward Deployed Engineering to lead a team delivering complex enterprise solutions for Notion’s Services group across the EMEA region. The role balances people leadership with hands-on technical guidance, coaching engineers through discovery, architecture, implementation, and launch while staying close to delivery decisions.

You will drive reusable assets and collaborate with Sales, Product, CX, and Engineering to improve customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in forward deployed engineering or comparable hands-on tech roles.
• 2+ years in people leadership or engineering management.
• Proven track record in hiring and retaining high-performing teams.
• Strong ability to translate customer needs into deliverable technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team delivering complex enterprise engagements across EMEA.
• Set technical standards, manage delivery quality, and provide career development.
• Own engagements from discovery through design, implementation, and handover.
• Advise customers' engineering and security leaders on architecture decisions.
• Design and operate custom agents, integrations, and data pipelines with customers.
